Residents Urged to Avoid Electrical Hazards During PuddlesAccording to her, Indonesia is currently entering the peak of the rainy season, thus several provinces have the potential to experience light to heavy rain in the period December 25, 2022, to January 1, 2023.
There were 11 provinces with the potential to experience heavy to very heavy rains that could even become extreme. While Jakarta is among nine provinces that have the potential to experience rain with moderate to heavy intensity in the same period.
"This extreme weather is triggered by four weather anomalies that occur simultaneously, namely increased Asian monsoon activity, intensifying Asian cold calls, indications of the formation of a low-pressure center, and monitoring of atmospheric wave activity," she explained.
Therefore, she reminded all parties to carry out mitigation in order to prevent disasters caused by extreme weather. The public can monitor and report through mobile applications, www.BMKG.go.id, social media, and can even directly contact the BMKG office.
"We continue to carry out more massive literacy through various media in the local government and community, and continue to synergize with related parties to make this mitigation effective," she closed.
